Proton Mail

A bar widget for Omarchy that shows your Proton Mail unread count next to the tray, drops down your most recent messages on click and raises a desktop notification when new mail arrives. No browser extension, no Proton Mail Bridge: the count comes from the webapp window title —Proton writes the (N) there— read via hyprctl clients, and the dropdown is served by a broker that speaks CDP to the browser over --remote-debugging-pipe, with no TCP debug port exposed; the unix socket is authenticated with SO_PEERCRED. External links are routed to your default browser —your main profile, with cookies and logins— and closed in the webapp. Live-configurable with omarchy bar set: poll interval, dropdown size, nickname, notifications and language (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Chinese). Interactive installer that creates the dedicated-profile webapp, installs stdlib-only Python binaries and enables the widget in the bar.
